GORE-TEX� PRODUCT DEVELOPER

A Footwear Model Maker utilizes general footwear product and process knowledge, to manage and execute the development process.

The Gore Product Developer role is to start from a written brief and drive the product process from concept through design, development and into production of the Gore-Tex and Windstopper apparel lines. The Gore Product Developer will help the team incorporate research, performance and manufacturing technology into the design process and also adapt and maintain our style into the line as a group. Candidate must maintain precise development documentation and meet targets for quality and performance.

Candidates should have the following qualities: experience developing outerwear (snowboard, outdoor, etc.) an interest in products and manufacturing, love for motor sports, excellent attention to detail, ability to think on a conceptual level, outstanding written and oral communication, solid decision-making skills and a high level of motivation and commitment. A minimum of three years experience with performance or outdoor apparel is required and a degree is preferred. Some travel required.

The position is based in Asolo, Italy.

SENIOR MODEL MAKER

A Footwear Model Maker utilizes general footwear product and process knowledge, to manage and execute the development process.

Basic Responsibilities:
� This position requires the ability to identify key issues in Footwear construction and manufacturing.
� Creating and maintaining technical packages together with related product specifications.
� Research materials, components and construction processes for optimal product functionality.
� Verify Product Development through product testing and sampling.
� Monitor prototyping & manufacturing processes.
� Follow trends & new technologies

Requirements:
� School of Shoes design and manufacturing
� Min 5 years experience in the product development of Technical Footwear
� Consistent knowledge of raw materials, plastics, synthetics, leather, others; their transformation technologies and suppliers
� Knowledge of pattern engineering and production processes
� Skilled in CAD design, Teseo is preferable, and windows communication tools
� Excellent communicator and enthusiastic team worker with good problem solving skills
� Ability to travel for extended periods
� A passion for motorsports and active sporting lifestyle

PROTECTION DEPT. COORDINATOR

Alpinestars, the leading manufacturer in high performance and protective apparel for motorcycling, has a career opportunity for an enthusiastic, conscientious and sports-minded person, for the position of Protection Department Coordinator. This well organised and task orientated individual will be responsible for the development and execution of protective apparel/devices for the motorcycle industry. Must have excellent interpersonal skills for the purposes of communicating effectively with a variety of personnel and to inspire design teams to develop and advance protective apparel wear for one of the most technical and demanding sports in the world. Essential pre-requisites are a mechanical engineering qualification and/or electronic knowledge with related work experience in the development and manufacturing of technical sports apparel for the motorcycle industry. Must have advanced product and process knowledge to review, evaluate, update and ultimately assist in a decision making process that leads to assured product performance and cutting edge products; have a love of motor-sports; have the ability to think on a conceptual level with mechanical and technical expertise and be innovative.

The Technical Product Developers' (TPD) role is to start from a written brief and drive the product process from concept through design, development, and into production for the most demanding, technical sports equipment in the world. TPDs help the team incorporate research, performance, and manufacturing technology into the design process. Candidate must maintain precise development documentation, and meet targets for quality and performance. Candidate should have the following qualities: an interest in products and manufacturing, love for motorsports, excellent attention to detail, ability to think on a conceptual level, outstanding written and oral communication, solid decision-making skills, high level of motivation and commitment, significant mechanical or technical expertise. A minimum of three years experience in a product development environment is required and a degree is preferred. Some travel required. Salary D.O.E.

GLOVE PRODUCT DEVELOPER

Alpinestars, the international leader in racing footwear and apparel is looking for a talented individual to join our product development team as a glove developer. The position requires 3 or more years experience developing footwear or apparel and the candidate must be willing to travel.

The ideal candidates should be self motivated and be able to understand free hand drawings and CAD drawings. Candidates also need to be able to understand mold making, molding techniques and should have, but not necessary, knowledge of motor sport requirements.
