Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia is the 2018 Moto2 World Champion who currently races for the Pramac Ducati team in MotoGP.

Greatest moment:

Pecco began racing in Minimoto as a child, winning the European MiniGP championship in 2009. He then made the jump to the preGP Mediterranean championship the following season, finishing runner-up in the series.

Pecco then progressed to the CEV Moto3 series and finished third in the overall standings in 2012 before switching to Grand Prix racing in 2013. He took his first Moto3 win in 2016 at Assen, and added another victory at Sepang on his way to a fourth-place finish in the overall standings.

In 2017 he made the switch to Moto2 and the following season he claimed eight wins, six pole positions and set three fastest laps as he clinched the title.

Pecco made the jump up to MotoGP in 2019, racing for the Pramac Ducati team.
