Moto One saw Herlings at his impressive best. On Lap 8, he crashed into a backmarker while running second and went down, before picking himself up and regrouping, posting fastest lap after fastest lap, closing the 17-second gap on the leader, then passing him and going on to build a gap and take a commanding victory.
Glenn Coldenhoff finished fifth, Calvin Vlaanderen was sixth, Kevin Horgmo seventh, Jeremy Seewer eighth and Andrea Bonacorsi ninth; all Alpinestars riders.
