A-4 Plasma Chest Protector

• Advanced Construction: The Nucleon PLASMA element in this protector is constructed from a bio-based viscoelastic impact-absorbing compound, with no less than 25% bio-based content and molded into a precision-engineered geometry. While the PLASMA material dissipates impact energy and significantly reduces transmitted forces through controlled material response, the low-profile PLASMA geometry is specifically developed to compress and extend with movement while supporting airflow through its channeled and highly-perforated design.
• Exceptional Comfort and Flexibility: The geometry of the protector is pliable in all directions and compresses and extends with movement, molding to the body for a close, adaptive fit.
• Lightweight and Ultra-Ventilated Chest Armor: The chest outer shell’s design is based on geodesic polyhedrons, and like a geodesic dome, less material is needed to achieve the desired structural strength and imposed load performance when compared to flat or unfaceted surfaces. This results in a protector where the whole is greater than the sum of all its parts, making the new A-4 PLASMA Chest Protector supremely lightweight and ventilated.
• Premium Comfort: The over-injected flexible side wings of the chest protector perfectly follow the body’s contours for superior comfort and freedom of movement.
• Optional Race kit: Engineered to be compatible with the Nucleon PLASMA Extended Roost Coverage kit which includes Upper and Lower Chest Extensions and an additional Y-Strap System, allowing riders to use the A-4 Chest Protector without the back protector.
• Rib and Shoulder Coverage: The A-4 PLASMA Chest Protector features highly perforated, adjustable, and detachable rib and shoulder padding for additional coverage against roost and impact.
• BNS compatible via the elasticated BNS pull tabs situated on the removable soft tactile thermoformed shoulder pads.

Nucleon PLASMA Back Protector (EN 1621-2:2014) - CE Level 1
Semi-Rigid Thermoplastic Polyhedron Chest Protector (EN 1621-3:2018) - CE Level 1
Highly Perforated, Adjustable and Detachable Rib and Shoulder Padding

Adjustable shoulder and side straps
Adjustable shoulder and side straps provide an optimized performance fit.

Removable thermoformed shoulder padding
Removable thermoformed shoulder padding has a soft tactile feel for enhanced rider comfort.

Ribbed back protector lining
The back protector lining provides a soft tactile feel against the skin while maintaining the structural integrity of the protectors and reducing the risk of material tearing. Its ribbed construction provides superior airflow while reducing the amount of material in contact with the skin.

Perforated 3D mesh chassis
The perforated 3D mesh chassis offers additional protection against tire roost.

BNS shoulder pull tabs
The BNS shoulder pull tabs provide Bionic Neck Support compatibility.
