Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the all-new SM3 Youth Helmet is optimized for MX, Enduro and Off-road use, and features a whole raft of technologies and innovations taken from Alpinestars range of adult helmets to deliver the optimal blend of performance, protection and comfort.

Lightweight shell platform: Thermo-injected shell with a special polymer blend and variable thickness helps keep weight down for easier movement and less fatigue on younger riders.
Precision youth sizing: Three dedicated youth shell sizes help match head shape more closely, supporting a more secure and stable fit across growing riders.
DOT and ECE-specific shell layouts: Separate homologation-based shell versions provide certification-specific structure for the intended market and fit requirement.
Adjustable crown and cheek pads: Multiple pad thickness options let the helmet be tuned to the rider’s head for a firmer hold and more consistent comfort.
Grow-with-rider reconfiguration: Youth Medium and Youth Large share the same EPS size, allowing the helmet to be reconfigured as the rider grows using spare crown and cheek pads.
Dedicated Youth Small fit: Youth Small uses its own smaller EPS size, giving very young riders a more appropriate starting fit with cheek-pad-only adjustment.

The multiple-density inner liner is engineered with the correct density in the correct area for enhanced impact absorption.
The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts.
Alpinestars patented low-friction coating is applied to the inner part of the main EPS liner to reduce the rotational acceleration forces that can result from certain oblique impacts; this layer acts as a slip plane to help mitigate rotational force transfer.
The patented visor release system is designed to release with the correct pre-determined amount of force, effectively reducing forces on the rider’s neck during an impact.
The 25mm soft textile chin strap provides secure retention for optimal safety.

Alpinestars in-house chin-area construction standard uses an optimized shell thickness and reinforced helmet structure in the chin zone to meet higher internal test requirements than homologation alone.
Emergency Release System with removable cheek pads is integrated into the helmet build for controlled cheek pad removal while the helmet remains on.
3D contoured foam forms part of the interior structure for a shaped, close-fitting rider interface, while stainless steel D-rings provide the retention hardware.
