Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the all-new SM3 Youth Helmet is optimized for MX, Enduro and Off-road use, and features a whole raft of technologies and innovations taken from Alpinestars range of adult helmets to deliver the optimal blend of performance, protection and comfort.

Youth-specific shell sizing: Three dedicated youth shell sizes help reduce excess bulk and support a more precise, rider-focused fit.
Adjustable comfort fit: Replaceable crown and cheek pads in multiple thicknesses let the helmet adapt closely to the rider’s head shape for lasting comfort.
Grow-with-you sizing: Youth Medium and Youth Large share the same EPS size, making it easier to step up a size as riders grow by changing spare parts.
Dedicated Youth Small fit: A smaller EPS size with cheek-pad-only adjustment gives younger riders the more exact fit they need from the start.
Regional shell versions: DOT and ECE-specific shell constructions are engineered to match certification requirements across different markets.
Low-bulk youth profile: The carefully scaled shell architecture keeps the helmet compact and balanced, helping young riders feel confident and unrestricted on the bike.

The multi-density inner liner is mapped with the correct density in the correct area for enhanced impact absorption.
The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts.
Alpinestars patented low-friction coating is applied to the inner part of the main EPS liner to reduce the rotational acceleration forces that can result from certain oblique impacts; this layer acts as a slip plane.
The patented visor release system is designed to release the visor at a pre-determined force, helping to reduce the forces transmitted to the rider’s neck during an impact.
The 25mm chin strap provides secure helmet retention.
The SM3 Youth Helmet is DOT certified and ECE 22.06 homologated.

Alpinestars in-house SM3 Youth safety standard includes a chin-area shell thickness and helmet structure optimized for heavier testing conditions than the homologation standard.
Thermo-injected outer shell is formed from a special polymer blend with varying thickness zones; the DOT-certified version uses a composite fiber inner shell positioned between the outer shell and the EPS liner.
Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads are integrated into the interior build for safer helmet removal while the helmet is still on.
3D contoured foam and padded interior components are used to support a close, stable fit.
Stainless steel D-rings are used for the chin strap closure system.
The helmet is certified to DOT and homologated to ECE 2206.
